Things to do for Yourself After You Turn 20

  1. Nourish Yourself: We spend too much time running around from interviews to classes to dates and we forget the most important things in our body, our fuel. You wouldn’t run your car on fumes would you? Don’t do it to your body! choose healthy snacks that are low in sugar and high in fiber. Also make sure to squeeze in good meals that are well rounded, even if it is costly.
  2. Mental Health Check:Ā Life is stressful no matter who you are. Be sure to take a step back from time to time. Stress is inevitable, but try not to let it take over your life. Monitor your happiness and make sure that blue feeling isn’t lingering longer that normal, and if it is , sit down and have a chat with friends or family.
  3. Physical Health Check:Ā Our six months check up is not enough to keep us ticking. Notice changes in your body and how you are feeling. Don’t become a hypochondriac, but notice these changes and make a mental note to check them in the next three weeks.
  4. Cultivate Your Relationships: Mom and Dad probably won’t be the same as they’ve always been. Since you’re older and more mature your conversations with them will be different for them and you. Cultivate that and learn as much as you can from them in terms of life, love, finances, and their mistakes. They won’t be with you forever so never take phone calls or time as home for granted.
